I’m always looking for ways to help the planet. After all, I want to make sure the world stays in good condition for future generations. However, a lot of people struggle to find ways they can help individually. But there are plenty of green living tips you can start to do today. Below are some ways to be more green at home, work, and on the go.
First, let’s look at work life and how to make it more eco-friendly. There are many changes that aren’t hard to make in your work routine but can really help planet Earth. For example, think about how you get to work. So many people rely on their vehicle to get them to there, but if you constantly use your car, you are affecting the environment. Therefore, be more green by skipping the car and using a bike or bus to get to the office instead.
Another of the green living tips at work is to turn off your tech when it’s time for lunch. Many people leave their computers on all day without realizing they’re wasting a lot of energy. Therefore, put the computer to sleep during break time to help the environment. And try and not waste paper during the day. Take meeting notes on a tablet or computer, for example, instead of grabbing a new sheet of paper!

Green Living Tips at Home
Also take an honest look at your home life for ways to be more eco-friendly. After all, there are many ways to be a greener family than ever before. For instance, make sure you recycle regularly and teach your kids to do the same thing. As much as it’s tempting to put everything in the trash, take the time to separate them into the right bins.
Also, if you have any electronic items that you don’t need anymore, try to sell them online. That way, you can repurpose the item and make money at the same time.
Another way to start green living is to be conscious about how you heat the home. There are a growing number of options, including geothermal heating and pellet stoves. Or you could change to solar energy. Those options can save you money in addition to helping the environment. And while solar panels can be pricey to install, they will make your house more attractive when you sell it in the future.

Green Living On The Go
You can also practice green living tips on the go. One way to do so is to take reusable bag with you when shopping for groceries, clothes, and other small items. I keep a few in the trunk of the car and a compact one is always in my purse. They’re within easy reach so it’s not a huge inconvenience using them. They’re way better than plastic bags that only end up contributing to the world’s waste!
Secondly, pop into a second-hand store (or two) the next time you want a wardrobe update. By purchasing clothes that have been used previously, you are giving them a second shot at life.
And don’t hesitate to take the kids to do green activities while you’re out and about. Taking a trip to the park will ensure you are green living while the kids have a great time. And once you fully embrace some green living tips, you’ll feel happier about making a positive difference in the world!
